swiping to notifications or widgets triggers tap actions(gear S3)

i made myself a media player watchface with a plain analog clock and a D-pad-like set of buttons instructing tasker to control music and volume.
this works well, but i encounter a problem when i use the touchscreen on my Samsung Gear S3 to switch to the notification or widget screens.
these screens are accessed by rotating the ring or swiping horizontally, unfortunately horizontal swiping is recognised as tapping by watchmaker resulting in music playing or tracks changing whenever i try to check recent notifications or widgets.
