Sorry, I stand corrected: The a step count is being displayed, but it is incorrect. For instance, right now, the watchmaker watch is currently displaying 322 steps, but when I switch to a standard Huawei watch face, it shows 504 steps. I do allow each of them a few seconds to refresh just to make sure, but there is definitely a discrepancy.
Same problem for me. Latest version of software installed on both iPhone and S3 but steps do not work. If this is not resolved soon I will be asking for a refund on the app as it is not fit for purpose. The Samsung watch faces pick up step count do there is no reason why these shouldn't.
I am testing the app and have the same problem. If this will not be fixed, then i will not purchase the app.
Also the battery level of the iPhone will not be displayed.
Hello, since the last update 4.9.0 or 4.9.1 the step counter is not running on the watch. Galaxy S8 and Gear S3. On the S8 the values are displayed correctly, on the watch only wrong ones. I have checked all settings. The right counter on the S8 is SamsHealth on Phone (Strategy 1). Please for verification.
Using Gear S3 Frontier and Galaxy S8+ phone, step count will often stop incrementing and will not show the correct value. I have to switch to my step widget just to see what my real steps are. Issue occurs regardless of face being used in WatchMaker Premium. Not happy.
I too can confirm this is an issue with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S3 Frontier. The steps in on WatchMaker faces will match the watch steps for a while and then all of the sudden be significantly off.
This has not changed - still an issue (even though the latest APP update claims that it has improved the step counter).
Using Samsung S3, apps and watch are update to the latest version.
Over a year to fix this - had I known this I wouldn't have purchased the app (trying to get a refund seems impossible as the refund policy is written in what looks Chinese).
Same problem here.. Using {ssc} for stepcount it just shows 0
I have a Gear S3 Frontier an a galaxy S9, all updated to latest versions.
As we can't use this SW without paying for it, I think I'ts not OK that this proble has been there for arround 3 years without any reaction....
So, I have payed for something that doesn't work, fix it or give me my money back....!
Tizen apps are either written as native or Javascript. WatchMaker is the former.Native and Javascript have completely different libraries available for developers and they dont return consistent results for step count. I will follow up again with Samsung to see if more can be done but I think it may be a limitation of native (non GWD) apps for now.
Jesus christ how is this still an issue what on earth.
Watch app that has made undoubtedly millions can't track steps?
Even the solution of installing Samsung health on the phone and using that for stepcount does not work correctly but instead pulls up some random number that does not change (not 0, but not what Samsung health reports) wtf?
Same issue here now. Have a gen6 watch and Huawei mate 20 pro. Watchface only updates steps when turned off and on again and then the result does not match any step counters I have e.g. Fossils own, Huawei's or googlea. What is going on please?
