Complications losing their tap action after a while

I have added a couple of complication layers to an Android Wear 2.0 watch face I made in WatchMaker Pro. They appear fine and initially work fully, but after a while (how long varies but usually within a day) you can no longer tap on them to launch their associated app or whatever their tap action is meant to be. When this happens, the only way to restore the tap functionality is to hold down on the watch face, change to a different WatchMaker face, then change back again. (It's not enough to change to another non-WatchMaker face and back.)
