iphone battery level not registering

The phone battery level is not operational. My watchface gauge is displaying 0% battery, and should be 98%. I have a gear s3 paired with an iphone 7. The battery level displays properly when viewed on my iphone in the Watchmaker app. Watchmaker companion app on gear s3 is version 4.9.8.

Did you ever get a fix for this? I have the Huawei Watch 2 and iPhone 6s and have the same issue.
