Have the watch work with tasker. BUT IT DOESN"T!

Tasker variables appear ok in the phone app, but they never update on the watch. I used the same task in tasker that I use to updage the widgets on my phone (I just added a send wm variable to the existing tasks). But the watch never changes.
Also trying to use tasker to change watch face and this doesn't work either. It just always changes to a digital face, not the one I have chosen from the list in the tasker task.
THE ONLY REASON I PURHUASED THIS (AND IT'S NOT CHEAP) APP WAS TO USE WITH TASKER.
Can these issues be fixed? If not, how do I get my money back?
