TicWatch Pro 'freezes up after period of time

It turns out there is apparently a software issue between TicWatch Pro and Watchmaker. I bought a 2nd TicWatch Pro because I like the watch. It has the same problem. My Moto 360 version2 never has this issue even though all apps are the same on all devices. Except for the fitness apps that are part of the watch manufacturer supplied apps. Don't dismiss this because there are no issues on Moto, this seems the logical place to start.
I suspect a memory leak issue in Watchmaker, but since I don't have the issue on Moto, it might be a Tic issue. Please work with Watchmaker to fix this.
I run a very busy face, but others probably run more complex faces. Anyway, after anywhere from 2 hours to 10 hours the watch becomes almost unresponsive. It takes 30 seconds or longer for the notifications screen to scroll up and it pauses several times on the way up. Pressing the top button can take as long or longer to pull up the menu. The seconds on the watch freeze also. This does not happen if a run one of the stock faces only when I run my Watchmaker face. Watchmaker has 5 fixes you can run for certain watches and I have tried each of them with no success. Sometimes the watch will eventually switch to ambient mode and then it will work again. Other times, I have to long press the top button and reboot the watch. This problem started about 5 weeks ago and is consistent on both TicWatch Pro's. The only mitigation I have found is to switch to ambient mode every hour and switch back to my watchface. This seems to reload the watchface and start the clock over.

I love the watches and am addicted to my watchface and all the info it provides. Please work with TicWatch to fix this very annoying bug.

Exactly the same issue here with TicWatch Pro. It started to fail occasionaly, then it was occuring more frequently, now every couple of hours. It started after some upgrade, can not tell exactly if watchmaker or wearos. I have reset the watch to factory settings and reinstalled everything from scratch, but it did not help. I have paid for a premium version but had to delete watchmaker. It is unusable. Please fix.

Pretty sure it was after a watchmaker update about 5-6 weeks ago, but since I don't have the problem with my Moto360v2 it might not be watchmaker's fault. Anyway, there are 2 possible mitigations. The first one is cludgy and that is to switch into ambient mode every hour. Switching into ambient mode on the TWpro seems to start the clock over on the problem. The 2nd mitigation is what I am currently using. Go into wear OS and go down to advanced settings. Set Always-on Screen to off and Tilt to wake screen to on. (Opposite of my normal preference) Your watch will go into ambient mode most of the time (You will never see the watchmaker dim mode again -sad) I have run this fix for 10 days without a lockup. The disadvantage of this is that it actually is worse on battery life since the TWP turns the screen on if you barely tilt your wrist (Moto only turns screen on when you have at 45 degrees in front of your eyes) So before I was generally around 40% at end of day, now 30% still not bad. I preferred not switching to ambient mode, but using dim mode since it was easier to read the watch most of the time and better battery life overall. However, this current fix is working and it is actually easier to read the time on my motorcycle (daytime) in ambient mode but I really wish watchmaker and Mobovi would get together and fix this bug.

It says zero votes, at least vote this up.

Exactly the same issues here.
I am now down to using another watch face (challenger) which has no issues, but I really would like to be able to use watchmaker again. I love the options to add own information (like week number etc).

I have all updates, nothing helped.
I voted up. Hope mobvoi and watchmaker can solve this.

If you go into settings in wear os "advanced settings" and set always on face to off and tilt to wake to on it is a workaround. MY TWPro's do not lock up in this configuration. My battery life is 15-20% worse since ticwatch turns face on with a slight tilt of the wrist. ( my moto360's and moto360 2nd gen don't wake up the screen until you have the watch in front of your face). I wish ticwatch would let us adjust this.
I spent hours making my dim face and now I never get to see it. Since I normally run "never turn off screen" and I turn off tilt to wake. With those settings, my watch was always on and I ended up the day around 35-40% battery. Now I have the ambient screen and because tilt to wake is so aggressive on TWPro I end up with 25-30% battery.

I am going to call this fixed. I think it was an android wear update about 3 weeks ago that fixed it. No lockups on either watch for 3 weeks of running with dim mode on (always on screen). It did seem to introduce a minor bug that randomly turns tilt to wake on a couple of times a day. I wish they would fix the other android wear bug that repeatedly turns audio controls on even though I keep turning them off in settings.
Of the 3 switches in android wear "always on screen", "tilt to wake", and "turn on audio controls" 2 of them randomly turn on, but this is probably an android wear problem.

My TicWatch Pro is doing this, but it has nothing to do with the Advanced settings. With the setting on with 'always on' set to off and 'tilt to wake' set to on the watch stops responding after a short time. Rebooting fixes it for a tiem and then it starts again. Switching to non-WatchMaker face works also. I am on version 6.0.6 (226060) on the phone and 6.0.6 (2560601) on the phone.
