Not Installing watchface on Wear OS 1

Watchmaker does not show up on Samsung Gear Live watch or in Wear OS. Also nothing happens when prompted to install companion app on watch. I know Wear 1 support was removed and then added back so I've uninstalled/reinstalled Wear OS and Watchmaker apps to no avail. Any help please?
