high battery use when screen is on - ticwatch e using experimental setting 5

I have tried several faces including my custom face that has worked great on a zenwatch for the past few years.

The issue is when the screen is on, the watch will lose 10% battery or more each hour. My custom face has 1.3% opr in dim mode, so brightness isnt the issue. I have tried many things to disable features to help with battery consumption, but nothing has helped. When the screen is off (battery saver or theater mode) the battery usage is more reasonable and what I would expect, even when sleep as android is running all night.

I need to have experimental fix 5 enabled, otherwise the screen does odd things in dim mode like jumble/misalign the text or display white noise until the screen comes up active. I think experimental fix 5 drains more battery than not using the fix, but it resolves the dim mode issue for me.

Trying to narrow down this issue before my window closes for returning this watch if I need to, again as my face/settings/etc worked flawlessly on my old asus zenwatch.

Any help is appreciated

Same problem here, I am on a Samsung galaxy watch 3 and battery life with Watchmaker sucks. OPR of 5.7 and I am getting 20 less hours of sreen time compared to a watchface from galaxy store. Which I am pretty sure is on a higher OPR. Battery consumption is 17% for galaxy store watchface and jumps to 57% when on Watchmaker. It s a shame because Watchmaker worked fine on my 5 year old Huawei Watch 1st edition.
