Weather not updating on Fossil Gen 6

The weather from the phone, Samsung S7 Android 8 is not updating on Fossil Gen 6 Android 9. The screen shows update action, but actual weather will not update unless pushed from phone.
Same everything used with a Fossil Q EXPLORIST that worked fine until the watch failed. Used with Wear OS.

Same thing on Fossil Sport 3123. Started about a month ago.

Seeing similar on Fossil Explorist. Opening WatchMaker weather and returning to watch face forces update.
