Crash on adding images





If you have this crash, please state below :

- phone model
- which image picker you use (e.g. Google+)
- image format, e.g. png
- image size, e.g. 320x320
- layer type, e.g. image, gif, compass, weather, battery?
- adding initial or changing existing image?

Anyone who gets this error could help get this fixed for everyone on here.
Here's what I need.
- Straight after you get the crash, hopefully you should see a new image in /sdcard/BeautifulWatches
- e.g. .img027.jpg
- you may need to set your file explorer to show hidden files as it begins with a dot
- send the highest numbered image file (should also be most recent) to admin.androidslide@gmail.com
- i have a suspicion jpegs may be getting saved as png's or vice versa

LG g3 D855.
This occurs on any image, large or small, typically using standard Gallery app.
When this occurs, using Fast Reboot, will allow for the image to be successfully importe, but soon after can experience the same issue.
This issue occurs repeatedly.
I'm on Android 4.4.2
I don't generally have more than 30 watches loaded at any one time.
The phone has 3Gb of Ram.
On another issue but maybe related, I have noticed that after importing a watch, the Ram used seems unusually high.
Not sure if this helps.

Moto x 1st gen
I'm not able to load and pic from my gallery, and google+
The format are all are .PNG files
The layers that I tried are gif and image
My phones running 4.4.4 and my moto 360 is running 5.0.1
I tried resizing pics and renaming them but nothing all I get is a blank watch design afterwards

App on phone crashes instanly if I try to add an image in watchface customise mode.

I have the same probem with my LG R Watch : when I try to add or change an image, the application come back to the home page and nothing is modify on my creation. It was perfectly working until past week and have no idea about where this problem can come.
I tried to re insall the application withour success. Worst, I bought the Premium application thinking it would resolve the problem....which is not the case.
I can download and install creation from others but can't create mines anymore :(

Try installing an app like QuickPic, then try again but use QuickPic as your image picker.

Thanks for helping Alex. But even with QuickPic, the result is unfortunatly still the same. Good hope : a member of the team who build Watchmaker told me that he was looking at this problem. Let's be patients.

Anyone experiencing this - please use an app like alogcat (free on Google Play) to send the log during the crash.

In order to help, we are looking for entries in the logfile with the WatchMaker process name (slide.watchFrenzy)

Hello Alex,
I'm coming back with the same bug unfortunatly.
It tried to catch data with the free alog app but didn't not succeed, even for the watchFrenzy datas :)
Here are my preferences put for this free app :
Level : debug
Format : long
Buffer : Main
Keep screen on : on

LG G3 using the standard LG gallery app. Trying to upload any image but example is 400 x 224 jpeg.

Alleluya, I finally decided to backup & restore my LG3 and after reinstallation the application can at new accept my personnal images. Only bad point, my backup done with the LG app has not been retrieve so I lost few things.
So let's create again !

Has not worked on my LG G3 for months. Pick an image, and the app crashes. Limited to the pre-designed faces now. Shame.

Anyone with this problem - please try the experimental fix in WatchMaker 3.7.0 (released today).
Go to Settings -> Other -> Experimental Fix for Adding Images

Please post here with feedback either way.

Since the newest update, my images are not showing and only get a blue image bar. Also, png images will not import anymore. Any advice?

I have a Nexus 6 and a moto 360. When I try to ads a gif to a watch game it works fine in the app, but when I go to set it as my watch face the app crashes.

I just bought it today and am suffering from this. I wouldn't have purchased had I known...

I have an LG G3 and my watch is a Zenwatch. The image is a 320x320 png. Using QuickPic. Tried checking the "experimental fix" setting; no change.

Please let us know if any progress is made...

My galaxy s5 don't show all the watch faces images on the app It just shows the watch maker logo on it

- animated GIF 58x63 px
- image jpeg 512x512 px
- image PNG 1024x512px

Sorry, none of these images get attached to the watch's XML file. They show up just fine as jpg in the beautiful watches image folder. Even the GIF gets separated and converted to jpeg. I'm sure it's nothing to do with the images being imported and is instead an issue with the XML edit.

I can go to the watches folder and open the XML for editing, and manually add the images. Once done, the images show up in the watchmaker editor as if I had added it through the app. I would suggest investigating the XML editing portion of the app and modularize any functions there. It may be doing too many things at a time and crashing out of a sub function. Without being able to see the code, I can only guess.

Hello,
I purchased watchmaker Premium and im very unstatisfied because this doesnt work. I will state what's requested below.

Phone Model: OnePlus 2
Picture Size: all sizes. 320x320, 1024x1024 280x280 etc.
Picture picker: Google Fotos or OnePlus Gallery
Later use: background Image
And its the First Image i Import into my watch.

I hooe this helps and the Bug gets Fixed very soon, because as it is for Now, it sucks. Please fix, thanks!

Just paid for the premium watchmaker for $3.99 every time I tried to add an image the app crashes and goes back to the homepage..

- phone model: S8+
- which image picker you use: Samsung gallery, Google photos
- image format: jpeg, png
- image size: all sizes

Same issue. Galaxy S8, latest version of watchmaker, and cannot add a photo or any graphic to a new watchface.

Yep same here as of today 10th of Dec. With a Gear S3.
Tried every fix thinkable.
Clearing phone cache, experimental fix, reloading watch maker. Nothing works since last update.
On attempting to add pic png or giff file screen goes back to hone screen. And attempting to view the "change. log" has the same result.
A fix desperately needed.
