Object Alignment Backwards

The alignment interface is completely backwards to me and un-intuitive. It should be flipped horizontally and vertically. I.E. to have "bottom right" alignment, you press the "top left" button. This is very backwards for my brain and I always have to pause and think about this upside-down reversed world. If the arrows are the trick to this system, just reverse the arrows too, so the buttons are in the right place and the arrows point in the outward direction.

Could the text alignment property be more nearby to this setting as well?
