Bug: Card Settings Don't Save

Changing card settings for watch faces don't save. When you click into Card Settings, you can adjust the options, but then there is no back/check/save button. You can use the system back button, which appears to keep the options that were changed, but they don't translate over to the watch. Example: changing to use big cards stays checked, but the watch still shows small cards.

Same issue here. No way to get out of Card Settings screen. No option to save changes.
AlexCurran, 16.01.2015, 10:08
They are auto saved and synced - just hit back button
Ryan, 16.01.2015, 15:09
Ok, but when I do that, for example, I switch it to use big cards (like weather) but it still shows small after changing the options, hitting back, and then syncing to the watch.

Figured out the issue! If the "Ok Google" hotword detection location is lower on the screen, it stops the large cards from showing.
AlexCurran, 16.01.2015, 10:09
Some cards can't be forced to small - there are different types of cards!

Hey AlexCurran,

Can this idea be removed now that it has been solved?

Thanks!

I'm not sure it has been solved. With the 3.0.1 version, I'm getting large, opaque cards. I checked in WM, and they're still set to small and transparent, as they've always been. I even tried toggling them, re-pushing to the watch, everything. Phone still shows small, transparent, but watch is large and opaque.

Definately not resolved. After restarting the watch or updating the app, the card settings revert to default. Takes ages until it applies card settings (if it does at all)
Ryan, 22.01.2015, 16:38
Huh, I haven't seen an issue with the card settings reverting back to default, unless the app was uninstalled/reinstalled. I think i did notice that the opacity of the card never changed, no matter which setting it was on.

All card settings are working for me. Maybe try clearing app data and then uninstall and reinstall app.

That settings reverting in the app may be an issue for a new idea. All card settings seem to save for me as well. Just make sure you hit the system back button after you make changes, as AlexCurran mentioned above.

Seems to be working for me as well.

I think I found a workaround that may resolve the issue until the bug is fully squashed. If the cards aren't matching your settings in WatchMaker (e.g. phone set for small/transparent cards, but watch is showing large/opaque), try sending a different face in WatchMaker to your watch, then switch back. It seems that this updates the card information. Switching to a non-WatchMaker face on the watch won't do it. You must send a different face to the watch from within the app.

THANKS JT3 for this workaround.
For me the cards where not shown in ambient mode until I changed to a different watch and returned to mine.

Is it just me. Or has anyone tried the WatchMaker For AW5. And not the WatchMaker Legacy. Because the "... for AW5" Worked for me.

My watch face tells me everything. How come its impossible to turn off all cards.
