The app is draining the battery

I'm not sure the reason but some days the app drains my watch battery in under an hour it heats up a ton too

Same for me. For me it's related to location services for the weather. Changing this to a manually entered location from using gps solved my battery drain.

Check you are not using 3.5 beta pre version 2 - there were some issues that are now fixe.

Location services for weather only run max every 30 minutes on phone - shouldn't affect either phone or watch battery.

I am getting a battery drain issue on my watch as well. It happens when I change the watch face. But stops if I reboot the watch. I am currently on 3.6.0 premium (on beta I believe).
I have an LG G watch, and have an LG G2. I have seen this bug through multiple watch maker updates.

Large battery optimizations since WatchMaker 3.7
Different watches will use more battery, e.g. step counter, heart rate, gyro, compass, etc.
Also syncing new WatchMaker updates make battery life worse for 24 hours after resyncing, then battery returns to normal.
