Maps not working on any watch face no matter what

No matter how many times I factory reset my phone and watch the maps never work on any out my watch faces

Created a watch with Map background, this used to work a while back but now I don't see the map loading. I only get a blank view on the watchface (both on the phone app and on the watch). I might have accidentally deleted files in the Map directory, I assumed that it is just a cache and would re-load.

I have the same problem. No map, just a white square, on the watch and also on the phone. Google maps runs fine on the watch..

On Monday, July 11, 2016, our direct tile access to MapQuest legacy maps will be discontinued. After Monday, July 11, 2016, we’ll require those using our direct tiles access to sign up for a plan on the Developer Network.

We use OpenStreetMap not MapQuest but tiles are now being blocked from their server.
We will continue to investgiate. If anyone knows any alternate free tiling servers please provide details here.

shows on phone wath preview bur not in the real galaxy watch.
